What is BioThane material?
BioThane® is a trade name for coated webbing manufactured by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp in the USA. The material is patented and designed for extreme loads. It is washable, cleanable, and does not absorb water. It is very pleasant to the touch and boasts incredible tensile strength (for 25 mm webbing, it is 450 kg in tension; for 38 mm webbing, it is 690 kg in tension).
Why buy BioThane® collars and leashes from you?
We manufacture collars, leashes, and accessories from genuine and patented BioThane®, the origin and authenticity of which we can prove. Imitations, not only from China, are now appearing on the market.
We are manufacturers, and we live for making collars and leashes for you and your canine friends. Therefore, we can customize any collar or leash to your specifications. We use the highest quality components for production and have several types of hardware to choose from. For joints in our products, we use closed rivets, so water or dirt does not get trapped in them.
In case of a complaint or exchange, we resolve everything promptly; we never let customers wait. This is because we do not send collars and leashes anywhere, and we handle all repairs or modifications ourselves. Therefore, you don't have to worry about being without your favorite leash or collar for 30 days.
What all can you print on?
Printing is possible on almost all collars, leashes, and keychains. We only do not print on light-up collars.
For reflective collars, we only print on 25mm wide collars, above and below the reflective stripe in small font. For 19mm reflective collars, we only print on the reverse side of the collar.
I would like a custom-made collar or leash. Is that possible?
Yes, it is. If it's a simpler modification, such as a smaller/larger number of holes on the collar, non-standard collar length (e.g., 52 cm instead of the standard 55 cm), different placement of D-rings on the leash, just write your request in the notes. If you need a different leash size according to your own drawing or a completely different type of product, it's better to let us know first via Messenger or email. We will price everything for you and make arrangements.
What hardware should I choose for a collar or leash?
The strongest and highest quality hardware is stainless steel. It has the greatest tensile strength, as well as durability in various weather conditions. However, it is heavier than the basic nickel-plated or black hardware. Brass hardware is also characterized by very high strength, but a natural property of brass is oxidation, which causes this material to darken over time. Basic black hardware, on the other hand, is the lightest and is suitable for puppies or small dogs, but will also serve larger breeds very well. If your dog pulls, belongs to large or giant breeds, or the collar will be under heavy strain, we always recommend choosing a stainless steel or brass buckle/snap hook. For some leashes, we offer two sizes of snap hooks, with the larger snap hook always having higher strength.
I ordered the wrong size collar, what now?
If the collar or leash is printed, exchange or return is not possible, but don't worry, email us at info@dogs4u.cz. We will help you with the selection and arrange a better price for a new piece.
How to clean BioThane collars?
We recommend regularly wiping our products with a damp cloth and a drop of dish soap, especially dog collars for dogs with oilier coats. Do not clean the collar mechanically with a brush, and do not put it in a washing machine, dryer, or dishwasher. If an undesirable surface appears on the buckle/carabiner after prolonged use, use a cloth dipped in vinegar.
The collar is getting stiff, why is that and how to prevent it?
The hardening of the material is caused by the grease from the dog's fur, so it is necessary to degrease the collars from time to time and not leave the grease on the collar for too long. Simply wipe the collar completely with a damp cloth and a drop of dish soap from time to time. If the collar has UV printing, avoid mechanical damage; there is no need to press on the collar. Afterwards, we recommend wiping it with clean water and drying it.
Delivery
How long does it take to process an order?
If the product is without print or additional decoration, we usually ship it within 2-3 business days. For products that require printing, the delivery time is longer, ranging from 4-14 business days. Mugs and CBD drops are dispatched within 1-2 business days. We send packages via Czech Post, and they will arrive on the next business day.
I need a collar/leash as soon as possible, what should I do?
Please write this information in the order notes; if it's within our capabilities, we always try to accommodate. We understand that a training camp or exhibition is approaching, and you need the new collar/leash immediately. If we have available capacity, we start production immediately after payment is credited to our account.
Product Returns
Is an exchange or return possible?
For collars, leashes, keychains and all products that were manufactured without print and were not custom-made, returns are possible within the standard 14-day period. The same applies to enamel mugs and CBD drops. Exchanges or returns are not possible for printed collars, leashes, keychains, and all custom-made products.
How to proceed with a return or complaint?
Please pack the products you need to exchange (see above) or claim, and send them to our address, ideally as a registered parcel and without cash on delivery. Before sending, please contact us at info@dogs4u.cz.
Breeding stations
I need collars for the whole litter as a gift, how do I proceed?
We tried to summarise all information in the KENNELS section. However, you can place an order directly and then email us, and we will adjust the payment amount (deducting printing and discount).
I need puppy collars last minute
Miracles on demand, the impossible within 3 days. It doesn't always work, but sometimes it does. Try writing to us and we will try to find a solution. Sometimes we can make the collars right away, other times we offer the breeder to ship them directly from us to the new owners at the carrier's price list; it's a nice surprise, for example, in the puppy's first week in its new home. We can also include a message.
I want collars for my breeding individuals, not for puppies
Normally, we only provide discounts for offspring, but for a larger number of collars (usually 8+) for your breeding animals, we offer negotiable prices or discounted printing prices. However, it always depends on the specific requirements.
